Apr 12th : Chris Young, Danny Brown, Les Gillett, Robert Weale
So after the Easter break the action re-starts for the 3rd tournament of the Super 8 Series and the 1st game of the day lasted just 50 minutes as Danny Brown won comfortably 2 sets to 0, Game 2 lasted a minute less as Les Gillett beat Robert Weale by the same scoreline. Game 3 saw the two winners meet each other and the 1st set was a close encounter, going into the last end Danny Brown was leading 4-2, but a score of 3 by Les Gillett saw him take the 1st set 5-4, it was a similar story in the 2nd set with Danny leading 7-6 going into the final end and Les picked up a 2 to win the match 2 sets to nil.With the two losers now meeting up, Robert Weale managed to win the 1st set 8-5, but Chris picked up the 2nd set 5-4, to go into the 1st tie-break of the day in which Chris Young won 2-0. Robert Weale followed on with a match against Danny Brown, Danny going into the last end was 6-4 up, but Robert collected a 3 to take the set, it was all square in the 2nd set at 5-5. Last up in the league was Chris Young against Les Gillett, which in 41 minutes Chris dispatched Les 8-3, 6-2, and the two will now meet again in the final, Danny Brown has finished 3rd with Robert in 4th spot. In the final for the day Les Gillett came out firing on all cylinders beating Chris Young in the 1st set 10-2 and 8-6 in the 2nd set to get maximum points for the day.

Apr 13th : An exciting day ahead with 3 of the players currently in 7th, 8th and 9th places and all still in with a chance of qualifying for finals day. First on today then was Welshman John Price against Graham Smith and John took the honours with a 2 sets to nil victory 7-4, 11-4. Billy Jackson and Mark Royal shared the honours in set one of game two but Mark won the 2nd set 10-5 to win the game. In game 3 the two losers met and set one again was honours even but this time it was Billy that won the 2nd set and the match. Game 4 saw Mark Royal win the 1st set 8-5 against John Price and followed that up with a 7-6 win. Mark returned back onto the green to face Graham Smith and Mark won 9-5, 12-4. The final game in the league was John Price against Billy Jackson, John won the 1st set 7-4 and with a tie (8-8) in the 2nd, John got through to the days final against Mark Royal. The lower places were Billy Jackson finished in 4th and Graham Smith 3rd. Mark dominated the 1st set in the final, going 6-1 up after 3 ends and finished up as the 7-4 winner. Mark also the 2nd set 8-4 to win the days tournament.

Apr 19th : Without the missing David Gourlay, today's tournament was just 3 players and in the league system, each player was to play the others twice. Richie Morgan against Simon Skelton, in game One Simon came out firing winning Two - Nil 9-2, 7-1, but in the 2nd match set one was a draw 6-6, the 2nd set a draw 6-6, but Simon won the tie break 2-0. In the games involving Richard Morgan and Mervyn King, Mervyn won the first game on a tie break, 5-6, 11-3, 2-0. the 2nd game saw another tie in the 1st leg but Richard scrapped the win after a 4-3 second leg. Mervyn won the first match against Simon in two sets 7-4, 10-4, but it was reversed in the 2nd game, which set up a third match between the two players in the days final. Simon won the 1st game 7-4, but Mervyn came back to win set 2 and then went on to win the tie break 2-0.

Apr 20th : First game today saw a 9-a-piece tie in the first set, but Simon Stevens took control of set 2 beating Nicky Brett 10-6. Battle of the big guns up next saw Greg Harlow beat Ian Bond 3-6,2-10 in a match that lasted just 50 minutes. Ian Bond bounced back with a 2 sets to nil (8-3, 7-4) over Simon Stevens. Nicky Brett 2nd game of the day was against Greg Harlow and it was first blood to Nicky with a 9-6 win but Greg fought back to win the 2nd set 7-3, but his winning ways did not continue as Nicky won the tie break 2-0, there was no problem for Greg Harlow next game as he dispatched Simon Stevens 8-3, 13-1 and with Ian Bond beating Nicholas Brett in the last league match 4-6, 5-4, 2-0, this set up a Bond Vs Harlow final. In the 1st leg of the final on the 2nd end a tied end was declared, what was unusual about this rare occurrence, was that it was the 2nd tied end of the day, a close set throughout but Ian Bond finished up as the 5-4 winner. Ian took full control of set two winning 13-3 and collect the 8 points.

Apr 26th : The days tournament began with a two straight sets win for  Richard Morgan over Jonathan Ross 8-6, 7-4, Ian Bond fresh from last Tuesday victory started the day with a 8-5, 8-2 victory over Mark Royal. The two winners then met in game 3 and it was Richie Morgan that came out on top in Set One winning 8-5, but Ian failed to snatch set 2 with it ending up 7-a-piece. Game 4 went to the tie break after Jonathan Ross won set one and Mark Royal won set two, the tie break was a close contest with Mark snatching victory 2-1. It was another tie break for Mark Royal in his match against Richard Morgan, having won the 1st set 8-2, Richard took set 2 with a 10-1 scoreline, Mark regained his composure to take the tie break 2-1. In the last match of the league Ian Bond faced Jonathan Ross but despite winning the 1st set 10-4, Jonathan came back in the 2nd set 6-5 and then went on to win the tie break 2-0. Jonathan despite this win finished fourth and Ian collected 4 points for third place. In the final it was the first set to Mark Royal 9-3 and this time he avoided the tie break by winning the 2nd set 7-5 and the 8 points.

Apr 27th : John Price started the day on a winning note by defeating Danny Brown 8-6, 8-8. Game2 saw Les Gillett beat Mervyn King after a tie break, 9-6, 5-14, 2-1. Danny again in game three failed to win but also never went to the tie break after losing in set one 7-3 against Les Gillett, he drew set two 5-5. Mervyn King got the better of John Price but only after another tie break 9-6, 2-7, 2-1. Danny Brown whitewashed Mervyn King in set one as he romped home to a 10-0 victory, but Mervyn fought back in style 1st winning set two 7-2, then the tie break 2-1. In the last of the league matches for the day John Price struck first against Les Gillett winning 7-6 in the 1st set, Les struck back in set two 9-2 and continued that form in the tie break, winning 2-1. Danny Brown finished 4th with John price in 3rd. The final between Les Gillett and Mervyn King was a close affair, with set one a 5-5 draw and the 2nd set was another close encounter but Mervyn King edged out as the 7-5 winner, to collect the 8 points.

May 10th :  Simon Skelton looking to go clear at the top of the champion of champions qualifiers started off with a fine win over Graham Smith, despite it going to a tie break 7-2, 4-9, 2-1. Also looking to clear at the top is Greg Harlow and in his 1st match against Robert Weale, Greg stormed through the two sets winning 14-4, 7-4. The two losers met in game 3 and it was Graham Smith coming out on top 6-4, 9-1. The battle for the top was next up and in set one Greg scrapped home 6-5, but Simon fought back in the 2nd set to win 6-5 and continued his form in tie break winning 2-0. Greg then that faced Graham Smith and it was a stroll for Greg as he won 7-4, 12-2. So for the final game of the league Simon won a tight 1st end 8-7 against Robert Weale, and it was Robert who took set 2 , 7-3 and the tie break 2-0, but it wasn't enough for Robert who finished 4th with Graham Smith in 3rd. In the days final Greg won the 1st set 5-3. The final set did not start well for Simon as he dropped a 4 on the 1st end, 2nd end Simon managed a solitary shot, end 3 saw Greg pick up a 3 to go 7-1 up, but Simon then collected a 3 to pull back to 7-4 down, but Greg picked up at 2 with 2ends to go now leads 9-4, but these are two of the best players in this tournament and it showed as Simon picked up a 3 to go into the last end trailing 9-7. Greg held his nerve to take the last end with one shot and win the 2nd set and the match.

May 11th : Nicholas Brett needs the points today to stay in contention at the top of the leader board met up with Chris Young in game 1, he went down 8-2 in set one but came up trumps in set 2 with a convincing 11-3 win, he was unable to continue that form in the tie break as he went down 2-0. David Gourlay has no problems dispatching Billy Jackson winning 6-3, 11-0. Billy Jackson was on next against Chris Young and started the opposite way he finished the last game by winning the 1 set 11-1, but Chris fought back not only to win the 2nd set 11-4, but also the tie break 2-0. David Gourlay had no problem beating Nicholas Brett in two straight sets 7-6.6-4. david was back on again this time against Chris Young though it was close in set 1,David won it 5-4 then strolled the 2nd set 14-0. Final league match of the day saw Nicky Brett avoid bottom spot when he beat Billy Jackson 10-2,3-9 and 2-1 in the tie break. The days final saw David Gourlay pick up set 1 with a 10-1 victory over Chris Young, Chris took set 2 9-3, but it was David who took the tie break 2-1 and the 8pts for today.
